About
Swept away into a court of magic and beauty, she discovers she is Tania, the lost princess of Faerie. Since Tania's mysterious disappearance five hundred years before, Faerie has been sunk in darkness and gloom. With her return, Faerie comes alive again as a land of winged children, glittering balls, and fantastic delights. But Tania can't forget Anita's world, or the boy she loved there.
Review
Anita, a young girl falling in love. She thinks she's a typical teenager, falling in love with the sweet Evan. But events change her life around her 16th birthday. A romantic surprise from Evan, a birthday gift, turns horribly wrong and thrusts her into a place that she can't believe exists, into a world where she is someone else along with a destiny that suggests she is in love with someone else. With very detailed descriptions we learn of Anita's destiny, of the faerie realm and the girl she once was.
At first i couldn't get into this book, i wasn't sure where it was going. But then, bang, i couldn't stop reading it. When Anita is thrust into the faerie realm the whole book takes on an enchanting and historical setting, with beautiful characters and descriptions that delighted me. The world is beautiful, but isn't full of sweetness and light. As Anita learns about herself she deals with scary situations, things happening to her that become frustrating, because she can't explain them, setting her back a step, making her more determined to know the truth. The romance in this is light and gorgeous. Gabriel, the lord whom Anita is destined to be with, is a charming character and it's hard not to fall for him. His innocent gestures of kindness allow him to be the perfect love interest.
But this book is full of twists and turns, so Anita's path isn't as clear as she thinks. Everything falling into place, only to be thrown into confusion once more. If you like Young Adult fantasy and you like faerie, you have to read this, i think you, like myself will have a nice surprise to how stunning this realm really is.
